Doors The fabrication of the doors is describen under "finishing". Her is a few pictures of the changes we have mad to the doors. We have also, as usual, made som changes to the inside part of the doors. The stockhandles has been replaced by flush handles. We have also moved the exterior handle rearwards. we have done this for easier opening of the doors from the outside. This way you dont have to stretch, especially smaller people, or to get up on th wing to open the doors. 26/1-2006 We have built an armrest in foam and glas/epoxy. The front part of the armrest doubles as the interior doorhandle. The standarr door has a sharp enge between the door and the window. It's impossible to finish it off with fabric that looks good. That made us do a larger edge that is easy to upholstre and it also gives the door a professional look. (We believe). Here is a picture of the door on the plane. You can also see the panel we have built to cover the latchmechanism and to give the door a nice clean look. We have also built to small panels to cover the holes where the hinges are. They are held into place with tape and is gluen on at a later stage.
