Engine
We have choosen a 300HP rotary engine, from Mistral in Switzerland.
3/1-2008
Finally!! Our engine has arrived, it was taken straight from the box and mounted on the engine.
First thought. "We are so close now".
Second thought "How did the get 300 horses in there!!"

The power of the engine, when you compare it with the size of it, is remarkable.
Unfortunately, the delivery isn't complete. We are still missing the ECU's wich is the computers
controllin the engine. Much like a modern car, the big difference is that we have two systems. Both doing the
same job, so if one system fails, the other takes over.
The ECU's will arrive in march together with the electronic instrumentdisplay.
26/9-2008
The ECU's and the rest of the accessories didn't arriewe in march as promised!!. Actually, it still hasn't arriwed
The engine has to go back for an update as well. This is, of course, not a perfect situation but there is nothing we can
do about it.
My feeling about Mistral, is very good. They don't try to cover their back, by making bad excuses. They are honeest
about their problems. I really like that.
I was just in Switzerland in the beginning of september. I saw the G300 running on the testbench, it is indeed bery nice.
I look forward to light it up for the first time in our own plane.
I brought the cooles back with me, so we are about to installe them. Our plan is, to be airborne in april 2009
That should fit our schedule regarding installation of instruments and interior. Only time will tell, if the engine is
ready also. From what I saw in Switzerland, I would expect it to be.
