Ailerons 7/7 The ailerons is what helps you turn!. It is kind of a "miniwing". It has almost the same aerodynamic shape as the large winge. The kit contains a leading edge, a bottom skin and a topskin. The components are being assembled and matchdrilled. 8/7 Stiffeners has been added to the skins and the leading edge is being fitted. The pipe located in front, is a counterweight wich adds balance to the aileron and minimises "beating" of the ailerons when the plane is parked in windy conditions. 11/6 The parts has been primed and is ready to get assembled. The first thing to do is the leading edge where the counterweight is located. everything is put in a jig that allows it to stand upright for further assembly without falling down. The left aileron is done. We just need to bolt some hinges on it. Besides that we will also wait to finish the trailing edge, wich has to be glued together before riveting to make it look good. We have to do the same thing to the right aileron and the flaps as well.
